FARMER FOUND SHOT DEAD

INDICATIONS OF SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Cambridge, Oct. 1, George Middleton, a married man with a wife and three children, a well-known farmer of Horahora, aged about 45 years, was found dead this morning in a gully about 2.00 yards from his homestead with a rifle alongside him and a wound in his temple. Evidence points to suicide. Mi/.lleton was a son of Thomas Middleton, Auckland, and had been missing since 11.30 a.m. yesterday. He was diseoered this morning dead by a search party. Letters found in his clothes showed that he intended to take his life.
