ENJOYED FORTUNE A YEAR
DEATH OF HAMILTON RESIDENT. (By Wire —Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. After inheriting a fortune of £28,000 from an uncle in England 12 months ago following on a hard struggle to live, L. W. W. Brown, Hamilton, died in a private hospital at Hamilton this morning after an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Brown, who was 59 years of age, had been actively connected with nearly every sport in Hamilton. His good fortune made little difference to him and he still carried on a labour and land agency which he had been conducting for some years. Footballers to-day w’ore black armlets as a mark of respect. Mr. Brown leaves a widow -and six sons.
