TRAMWAY REVENUE ALSO FALLS.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 2, 5.40 p.m. Sydney, Sept, 2. The annual report of the Railway Commissioners of New South Wales reveals a deficit of £1,039,900 on the year’s operations. Tramways showed a loss of £9343, as compared with a profit of £27,000 in the previous year, while the decrease in tram passengers totalled 12,500,000. The commissioners attributed the deficit largely to the drought and industrial troubles.
