THREE GAMES IN 16 YEARS
AUCKLAND REFEREES COMPLAIN.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At a meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees’ Association the secretary was instructed to write to the executive i of the New Zealand Rugby Referees Association asking what reason, if any, can be given by its representative on the appointments committee for Auckland referees receiving only three appointments by that body during the past .16 years. The question will also be asked what steps the executive have taken to ensure that Auckland referees will be appointed for further New Zealand Rugby Union matches. It was decided to write to Mr. H. J. McKenzie congratulating him on his display as referee in the Canterbury-Auck-land match last Saturday.
