GENE TUNNEY SUED AGAIN

ALIENATING WIFE’S AFFECTIONS.

Gene Tunney, the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world, has learned that the life of the millionaire ex-champion is not altogether a bed of roses. Facing a breach of promise suit for £lOO,OOO, brought by Mrs. Katherine Fogarty, he is now defendant in s anothcr action for the same amount filed by her husband, Mr. John S. Fogarty, for alienation of his wife’s affections.

In his complaint Mr. Fogarty alleges that at Mr. Tunney’s request his wife sought to divorce him and that the exchampion promised to marry her. The husband also alleges that his wife, “at divers times,” appeared as Mr. Tunney’s wife in four American cities. Papers in the suit and in the attachment of Mr. Tunney’s property near Stamford, Connecticut, have been filed at Standford. This property is already under attachment in the suit brought by Mrs. Fogarty. Gene Tunney was married in Rome last October to Miss Josephine Lauder an American heiress.
