CAR TAKEN FROM BROADWAY

LEFT PARKED FOR HALF AN HOUR.

A motor-car belonging to Mr. A. J. Davey, Stratford, was removed from Broadway between 5.30 and 6 p.m, ou Tuesday. Mr. Davey parked the car outside his office at about 5.30 and on leaving the office at 6 p.m. he found that his car had disappeared. He communicated with the police, but so far no trace of the vehicle has been discovered. The car is one of the latest model Ford five-seal er touring cars, painted grey with black mudguards and with a grev hood. The registered number is 61—521. GENERAL ITEMS. In conjunction with tho Stratford Goli Club captain's trophy match a ladies’ bogey match as been arranged to be played to-morrow. The draw is: — Mrs. Abraham v. Mrs. Knewstubb; Mrs. King v. Mrs. Berg; Mrs. Glasgow v. Mrs, Hill. The Stratford earthquake relief fund had reached £620 yesterday. In addition there will be the £5O voted by the Midhirst Dairy Company and the sum raised by tho West Coasters’ ball. Actually the total is approximately £7OO.

November 27 and 28 will be the dates of tho Stratford A and P. show this year, the executive has decided.

The annual meeting of the Toko group of the North Taranaki Herd-Testing Association was held at Toko last night, Mr. H. J. Kaye presiding over an excellent attendance. The chairman’s report, covering the operations over the year, was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr. EL J. Kaye; executive, Messrs A. Rumball, L.
