CAR COLLIDES WITH TRAIN
DRIVERS ESCAPE UNHURT.

Hastings, July 23.
Robert Soweraby, a well-known resident, had a narrow escape from a fatal accident at the St. Aubyh Street railway crossing to-day. He was driving his car from Russell Street, to the crossing at the same time as the goods train was arriving at the station, and he ran into the third wagon behind the engine. Sowersby escaped unhurt, but his car was extensively damaged.
