WHIRLPOOL WRECKS BOAT TRAGEDY ON AN INDIAN RIVER. THIRTY-FIVE OF 100 RESCUED. By Telegraph— Press Assn.—Copyright Received July 22, 11.30 p.m. Sun Cable. Delhi, July 22. A drowning tragedy occurred to-day at Chanlot, Punjab. A boat carrying 100 persons got into a whirlpool in the C'hcnab River and capsized, only 35 of the passengers being saved. The passengers included several landowners who were carrying land revenue for deposit with the Treasury.
