RECOVERY OF THE KING
CONFIDENCE OF LORD DAWSON.
British Official Wireless.
London, July 20. It was stated at Buckingham Palace that the King had a good night and his progress is still satisfactory. The doctor paid him his usual morning visit. Lord Dawson, of Penn, the King’s physician, speaking at the prize-giving at Giggleswick school yesterday, referred to the King’s illness and said the medical service rendered his Majesty was an example of carefully selected team work in tackling the problem facing his medical advisers. His Majesty in effect received as good treatment as he would have had as a patient in hospital. There the doctors were accustomed to work in teams, and the people outside left them to do their job.
He added: “The same was true in the case of the King, with the result you know, and I believe there is more hope every day that his Majesty’s recovery w’ill be complete.”
