The conductor. of one car was hurled through space and struck the guard rail, which'’ prevented his descent of the precipice to the sea. 3 Twenty-niife passengers were more of less injured but only two were taken tG hospital. Allan Vane, a tramway conductor, is suffering from concussion and . severe shock, and Robert Clark, a tram motorman, has a fractured leg. A number of passengers are suffering from abrasions, cuts, bruises and shock. The collision occurred on a single line. Both trams were damaged beyond repair, and the wonder is tliat manj were not killed.
