BURGLARS FOUND IN HOTEL
WOMAN ALLEGEDLY STRUCK.

An exciting incident occurred at a local private hotel on Thursday evening. Shortly after dark the daughter of the proprietor discovered two men in her room investigating the contents of her hand bags. She seized one man and called for help. The intruder, it 10 alleged, struck her with an electric torch and dashed away with the son of the proprietor in pursuit. . The chase was futile, the intruder showing a turn of speed. The P urs ™r was hampered by heavy garments. The other man jumped through the window and made his escape. Both men, it is stated, entered the premises by the front door in the most casual manner.
