NATURE STUDY AND CONCERT.
To-night’s broadcast from 2YB New Plymouth will open at 7.30 p.m. with a lecture on nature study by Mr. R. Neville Renaud. A concert programme will commence at 8 p.m. It consists of the following items: —Operatic gems from the Bohemian Girl; mezzo-soprano solo, Morning and You, Mrs. R. Hawkins; ’cello solo, Largo; baritone solo, Multeer of Malagar,” Mr. Basil Hirst.: orchestral, overture, Zampa; . musical monologue, Two Proposals, Miss Dora Bedford; fox-trots, Make Believe and Ol’ Man River; pianoforte solo, Miss Frances I. Brood; soprano solo, I Wonder If Love is a Dream; waltz, Blue Danube; male quartette, Wedding Bells; string quartette, Quartette in E Flat; orchestral selection, Prelude in C Sharp; mezzo-soprano solo, Villanelle, Mrs. R Hawkins; ’cello solo, Humoresque; baritone solo, Absent, Mr. Basil Hirst; orchestra, Prelude in G Minor; musical monologue, I Want to Go With Daddy, Miss Dora Bedford; fox-trots, Kiddies Kabaret "and Wedding of the Painted Doll; pianoforte solo, Miss Frances I. Brood: soprano solo, Sailing the Sea of Romance; waltz, Tales of Vienna Woods; male quartette, Weary River; fox-trot and waltz, Gold and Silver.
