BATTLE IN WHEAT PIT
WILD EXCITEMENT PREVAILS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, July 18. Bulls, and bears battled throughout the session at the Chicago wheat pit, where tremendous excitement prevailed’ concerning the world-wide weather reports, and the transactions totalled millions of bushels on receipt of each new fragment of information. The reports indicated that the Canadian and United States spring wheat outlook had not changed, while the continental hi"h temperatures provided a basis for a more bullish set of crop estimates.
