The decorative design in the entrance hall (which was transformed into a spacious lounge), struck an entirely new note, being a model of the Sydney cricket oval in miniature, round which the various shrubs, rhododendrons and palms made sheltered tete a tete corners in the soft glow of lights which twinkled down between the multitudinous cabbage palms hung from the ceiling,'making a delightful contrast to the gaily lighted and streamer bedecked hall above.
