WAIMATE COUNTY DRENCHED
THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CLOSED. SOME OF ROADS BLOCKED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waimate, Last Night. The public school has been closed, till Monday owing to a largely-depleted attendance through sickness and bad weather. Heavy rain has caused the swelling of all creeks and rivers in the county, Some roads are blocked and some lowlying land is under water. A tributary of the Waitaki has cut badly into the Station Peak Road.
