DEATH AFTER SON’S SUICIDE.

Hugo von Hoffmannstahl, the well*, known Austrian poet who wrote the libretto for Richard Strauss’ opera, ‘‘Tho Rose Cavalier,” as well as other Strauss operas, died in most tragic circumstances to-day on returning from the funeral of his son Franz, who in his early twenties committed suicide by shooting on Saturday because he was unable, to find a congenial job. ; Hugo’s death .fo .attributed . to apop? lcx% but suicide is suspected
