TO EXAMINE WEST COAST
AEROPLANE SURVEY ORDERED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Acting on the recent reports of upheavals of the sea bed and changes -in the contour of the foreshore for considerable distances, the Marine Department has arranged to carry out an aerial survey of the west coast from Greymouth to Farewell Spit and possibly also of Tasman Bay. An aeroplane wHI leave Wigram aerodrome, Christchurch, probably to-mor-row for Greymouth. Captain Whiteford, of the Marine Department, w T ho will join the aeroplane at Christchurch, will be in charge of the actual survey work.
