NIGHT TRAIN FOR TARANAKI
QUESTION ASKED IN HOUSE.
(By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night.
Notice was given by Mr. AV. J. Polson in th j House of Reprcmentativcs to-day ! to ask the Minister of Railways whether, as he is understood to be investigating means of further popularising the railway service, he will, having regard to the success of sleeping cars in other services, take into consideration the present great inconvenience and loss of time to the business and travelling public of’ Taranaki owing to the train service between several important towns and Wellington being a day service only, and whether the Minister will endeavour to arrange a tri-wcekly night train both ways in order to meet the convenience of tho general travelling public. The question was asked in the names of Messrs. S.' G. Smith, C. A. Wilkinson, If. G. Dickie and W. J. Polson.
