RE-OPENING TIMBER YARDS
LABOUR TAKES OVER CONTROL. By Telegraph— Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 16, 5-5 p.m. Sydney, July 16. Mr. J. Garden, secretary of the Trades Unions Council, stated to-day: “We are prepared to open every timber yard in Sydney and suburbs on the same conditions as the Rosenfeld Timber Cornpany’fi yard has been.” Asked what those were he replied: “We took over Rosenfeld’s yard and are runnifig it. This has been endorsed by the Sydney and Suburban Timber Merchants’ Association and the disputes committee of the Labour Council. What hinders all other yards opening on the same terms?”
