. The fourth of Waitara’s series of socials was held at the Taranaki Seamen’s Rest on Monday evening, when the seamen from the Hurunui were entertained and a happy time spent with music, games and competitions. Over 50 were present.
A meeting of interest to farmers of Rahotu and surrounding districts will be held in the Rahotu Hall on Thursday next at 2.30 p.m., when representatives of the Patea Freezing Company will discuss matters in connection with the bobby calf pool.'
