DECREASE IN LEPROSY
MANDATE FOR NEW GUINEA.
Geneva, July 3.
The Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations began to-day an examination of tho reports of the Administrations of Nauru and New Guinea, the High Commissioner for Australia, Sir Granville Ryrie, representing tho British Government in respect of the former and Australia in respect of the latter
Sir Granville said the Administration was apprehensive concerning leprosy, and was sparing no effort to effect its entire eradication. Cases had markedly decreased during the year, he said; the commission expressed their gratification at this.
