The Wellington winter race meeting was concluded at Trentham to-day in wet weather with the track very heavy. The attendance was affected. Favourites had a disastrous day, there being several substantial dividends. A. Hobson, rider of the winner, Overhaul in the Winter Hurdles, was suspended for five weeks for crossing Comical and Mister Gamp. The totalisator handled £57,821.
