'AUSTRALIA FEARS LOSSES.

Sydney, July 13. The Prime Minister (Mr. S. M. Bruce) and the Queensland Premier (Mr. Moore) have communicated to London their belief that the abolition of preferences as proposed by Mr. Snovden would be a "reat blow to Australian induMiies. The loss to the Australian sugar and dried fruits industries, if the proposal were carried out, is estimated at £850,000.
