SCHOOL CHILDREN PAY VISITS. CHAMPIONSHIPS AND SPECIALS. Large crowds attended the Stratford winter show yesterday and last night, the bulk of the afternoon sightseers being school children who visited the show class by class in charge of teachers. The crowd was in a good humour and the side-show men report business was satisfactory, while the merry-go - round was in continued demand. The gleaming arrays of cars and the artistically decorated stalls, almost bizarre in their galaxy of colours, lent a festive appearance to the building, while the home industries and field sections furnished a more sombre background to cater for contemplative tastes. And sound was not lacking. The .music of gramophones, pianos and wireless sets, intermingled with the numerous natural noises from the poultry section, were not displeasing if hardly harmcni-

Besides the cars, stalls, poultry, field displays and side-shows, there was the art and photography section, the exhibits in which represented, perhaps, hours of endeavour to obtain the. correct perspective and to interpret it on canvas, or paper. The cooking stall attracted the housewife, who could readily realise the expenditure of painstaking care over the- stove necessary to brirw to perfection tho carefully mixed ingredients that had finally made their appearance as cakes, scones or buns upon the show stall. .
