VALUELESS CHEQUES GIVEN
SECOND SERIES OF OFFENCES. By Telegraph.—Press Association.. Auckland, July 12. In the Supreme Court Charles Boland Aitken, aged 34. a farmer, for obtaining goods and money of a total value of £26 by worthless cheques in various North Island towns, was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment, to be followed by two years’ reformative detention. Last March accused was placed on two years’ probation for a series of similar offences in other places between Palmerston North and Auckland.
