DOMINION CHOOSES REFEREES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, July 11. At a meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Council the sub-committee, appointed to arrange the tour of the Australian team, reported having received a cable from the manager of the Australian team asking that an extra player be allowed on account of the large programme. It was decided to agree to the request. The following referees were appointed for the test matches against Australia: First test, at Wanganui, Mr. W. A. Scott (Wellington); second test, at Auckland. Mr. G. E. Waddington. The second referees for the test matches will be selected by the Australian team.
