ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTED MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES. NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATVE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 11. Tho Prime Minister announces that, in acordance with the recommendations of the Imperial wireless and cable conference in London last year, it has been decided to set up a committee in an advisory capacity in regard to telegraphic communications.

This body, which will be styled the Imperial Communications Advisory Committee, is concerned with the policy of the new Imperial and International Communications Company and, in particular, is charged with tho responsibility in regard to the institution of new services, the discontinuance of existing services, alterations in rates, and the distribution of traffic between auternativo routes.

One of the main features of the plan proposed by the conference is the fixing of a standard net revenue which should be available for the purposes of the Communications Company. Fifty per cent, of all the net revenue in excess of this standard is to be devoted to the reduction of rates or such purposes as the committee may approve. The following appointments to the committee have been made: Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Colonel Sir C. Thomson; Canada, Sir Campbell Stuart; Australia, Mr. Clive L. Baillieu; New Zealand. Sir James Parr; South Africa. Lieut.-Colonel E. A. Sturman; Trish Free State, Mr. T. J. Kiernan; India, Sir Atul Chatterjee; colonies and protectorates, Sir Edward Dawson. Sir James Parr’s appointment is a Temporary one and the announcement of a permanent appointment will be made within the next few days.
