MYSTERIOUS NELSON FIRE

HOUSE BURNED; TWO DAMAGED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. A firo of unknown origin destroyed one dwelling, occupied by Leslie Ruffell, and damaged two others in Mount Street to-day. A portion of C. Randerson’s house on the north side of Ruffell’s was burnt, and G. Leslie Miller’s place on the other side was damaged though not so badly. The destroyed house was the property of R. and J. Black, and was insured in the State office for £5OO and in the Mercantile and General office for £lOO. Ruffell’s furniture was insured for £450 in the Norwich Union office, and Randerson’s house for £5OO in the Sun office with contents insured for £2OO with the North British Insurance Company.
