MORTALITY IN HOGGETS
DEPARTMENT URGED TO ACT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. A meeting of tho Wairarapa provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union to-day passed a resolution that the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research be asked to arrange for a mass attack of scientists on the most important problem in the realm.of -sheep mortality in hoggets. A recommendation was also made to the Department of Agriculture that the compilation of past-oral statistics be overhauled and rearranged to make them of more use to the farming community.
