BEQUESTS TO CATHOLICS
WILL OF DR. PATRICK MACKIN. By Telegraph.—Proas Association. Wellington, Last Night. Under the will of Dr. Patrick Mackin, who died at Wellington on July 7, the following local public bequests were provided for.—-Wellington art gallery and museum, £500; Home of Compassion, Island Bay, £1000; Catholic Orphanage, Upper Hutt, £1000; Scatoun Convent, £10'10; Order of Marist Fathers, Wellington, £500; Order of Rcdemptorist Fathers, Wellington, £500; Roman Catholic Archbishop, £5OO. The following further bequests are postponed to a certain contingency.-— Seatoiin Convent, Wellington, the sum of £5OOO towards the erection and maintenance of a new convent; to the Home of Compassion, Island Bay, £1000; to tho Catholic Orphanage, Upper Hutt, £1000; Lewisham hospital, Wellington, £1000; Roman Catholic Archbishop, Wellington, £lOOO for educational purposes and £lOOO for erection .or maintenance of a cathedral.
