YOUNG MAN ADMITS THEFT

HAMILTON CHARGES PENDING.

Christchurch, July 8. Two young men, Richard Bailes and George Edwards, who recently left the North Island, appeared before Mr. E..C. Levvey, S.M., this morning on a series of charges involving theft. Bailes, aged 21 years, was described as a butcher, and Edwards, also 21, was described as a fitter. Both were stated to be residents of Okaihau, Bay of Islands. Accused pleaded guilty, and were committed for sentence. Counsel said other charges were pending at Hamilton.
