AUSTRALIAN BOXER’S VISIT

DELANEY TO MEET BERT BROWN (By Wire —Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. Nineteen years of age, with a record of 31 fights, 28 wins (of which 22 were knock-outs), two defeats and one draw, yet still going strong and looking for fresh laurels in New Zealand, Bobby Delaney, an Australian boxer, arrived by -the Ulimaroa to-day on his way to Palmerston North to fight Bert Brown, the lightweight, on July 18. Delaney’s last fight was with Sammy Shack, an American, who was defeated on points in a 15 rounds contest. “I can make featherweight at a pinch, said Delaney, “and I will stay here as long as I can get fights.” . . Delaney considers that boxing is coming back to its own in Australia, and that wrestling is becoming a mere farce.
