LADIES’ LIFE-SAVING CLUB

KEITH SMITH CUP PRESENTED. Opportunity to present the Keith Smith Cup for life-saving to Mies Norma West was taken at the Lew Plymouth Ladies’ Life-Saving Club evening at “Stradholme” on Saturday. The presentation was made by Miss E. Dowling, who congratulated the recipient on her good performance and expressed hopes for further successes on Miss West’s part. . During the evening a musical pro<rramme°was contributed and the progressive ping-pong tournament was continued. Those who rendered items were Miss Barlow (piano), Mr. Groom bridge (piano), Mrs. T. M. Avery (song), Miss R. Evans (recitation), Miss Dowling (violin), and Misses Dowling and D. and N. Riding (trio). Results of the ping-pong games were: First round, Miss B. Gay ton 30,. Miss M Bates 17; Miss Dowling 30, Miss R. Evans 26; Mr. F. Ward 30, Mr. Groombridge 17; Miss Barlow 30, Miss N. Ridina 17; Miss D. 2 ‘ding 30, Mrs. Gable 15° Miss J. Gable 30, Miss N. West 13. Second round: Miss Dowling 30, Mise Barlow 26; Miss Gayton 30, Mr. Ward 22. Third round: Miss D. Riding 30, Miss Gable 15; Miss Dowling 30, Miss Gay ton 17. Final: Miss Dowling 30, Miss D. Riding ?1.
