REBELS’ POSITION PERILOUS
LULL IN AFGHAN TURMOIL. CABINET SAID TO BE FORMED. By Telegraph—Tress Assn.—Copyright. Delhi, Jan. 26. There is a temporary lull in the Afghanistan situation, but Baechasakao's position is daily becoming more precarious. Unrest and famine threaten Kabul, which is crowded with tribesmen. None of the frontier tribes accepts Bacchasakao as king. The snowfall prevents military developments. Bacchasakao is reported to have formed a Cabinet from the Mahmadzai clan, to which Amanullah belongs. The letter's step-brother, Kahirunbin, is the new Prime Minister.
