PARIS POLICE DETAIN MEN EXPULSION OF JOURNALIST AN INTERMEDIARY NAMED By Teiegrajh—Press Assn.—Copyright. Australian Press Association. Received Oct. 12, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 12. The Paris police to-day detained and questioned two Frenchmen said, to be Government officials whom Horan, the journalist who disclosed information regarding the Anglo-French naval compromise, named in his statement on Monday, says the Morning Post. It is believed also that he named a French journalist as the intermediary. It is believed the statement signed by Horan at the Prefecture on Monday showed that he took a much more prominent part in securing the document than had been heretofore supposed. The Anglo-American Press Association is dissatisfied with Horan’s explanation, and has decided to expel him. The committee considers that Horan bn several occasions acted contrary to professional dignity. The police, on going to Horan’s residence to ascertain why he did not attend the renewed inquiry this morning, found that he had departed for an unknown destination. They ordered that the frontiers should be- watched. Later they learned that he had arrived in ■Brussels and was leaving for England.
