The Cork Civic Guards have at last captured Cornelius Healy, the one-eyed gunner charged on two counts of attempts to murder a policeman and other officers during the disturbances. Healy was a one-man army who perambulated the country waging solitary war he carried on his shoulder a machine-gun which lie dubbed “Lizzie” and started a fight whenever he thought fit. He alertly eluded the police, owing to his phenomenal running power. He was captured without resistance when a surprise posse of police surrounded his home.
