Commencing at a slow pace, Spearfelt led the field from Winalot, Valamita, Jocelyn and Bacchus. They continued in that order up the straight, where Winalot assumed control from Spearfelt, Jocelyn, Valamita and Bacchus. Bacchus challenged the leader at the distance, and in a close finish gained the verdict by a head. Time, 3min. 27 t CLIBBORN STAKES. Of £l5OO. Ono mile. RAMULUS, 8.7 1 SOLITAS. 8.12 2 SIR CHRISTOPHER, 8.4 3 Also started—Coercion and Vertoy. Sir Christopher acted as pacemaker from Ramulus, Coercion and Solitas. Turning for home Ramulus joined Sir Christopher ahead of Coercion and Solitas. Ramulus took charge at the distance and won with ease by two lengths. Time, Imin. 38Jeec. FINAL HANDICAP. £lOOO added. One mile and a quarter SPRUIKER, 8.9 1 GALADEER, 8.0 2 DOLOMITE, 7.3 3 Eleven started. Dolomite led throughout to the distance, followed by Vallino, Sallie Blue, Spruiker, Magdaff and Galadeer.
