PRINTERS OF TARANAKI

ANNUAL REUNION DINNER. Representatives of practically every newspaper in Taranaki, as well as of allied branches of the printing trade, gathered at Kawaroa Park bungalow on Saturday evening at their annual dinner and reunion. Mr. H. E. Carey (Taranaki Daily News) presided over an attendance of about 90. After an excellent dinner had been dispensed by the staff of Mr. Bert Smythe, of the Egmont Dining Rooms, a comprehensive toast list was honoured, tho predominant note in the speeches being recent developments in both press and printing trade methods. The toasts were as follow:—“The King”; “The Master Printers of Taranaki” (Mr. F, Robinson—Messrs J. McLeod and R. L. Ferris); “The Press of Taranaki” (the chairman —Messrs W. J. Penn and T. C. List); “Our Trade” (Mr. C. McLeod —Messrs F. D. Mackay and J. Andrews) ; “Printers’ Supply Houses” (Air. J. A. Avery—Mr. R. Edwards); “South. Taranaki lukslingers” (Mr. J. Garcia—• Messrs C. Haddon and G. King); “The Ladies” (Mr. D. F. C. Saxton—Mr. H. Round); “The Accompanists” (the < ba irinaii) • “The Chairman” (Mr. T. C. List).
