MOTUROA SCHOOL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The Moturoa school committee met on Thursday evening. Present: Messis. • Fluke r (chairman), Hunter, George and Mackie. The headmaster (Mr. W. R. Adams) reported:—The present roll is: Boys 100, girls 91, total 191. The average attendance for the month of September was 166.3 and that for the quarter ending September 30 was 168.5. The school has been raised a sub-grade and is now classed 48. This will entitle the school to another Grade 2 permanent assistant mistress. Thecapitation allowance will also be increased to the extent of roughly £lO. Twenty-four shrubs given by Messrs. Duncan and Davies were planted. It was decided to hold the school concert on Saturday, November 24.
