ROAD CYCLE RACING

CAMBRIA ROSE FOWL SERIES. The first of a series of cycle road races for the Cambria rose bowl was held by the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club yesterday over a 17 mile course from Hawera, 'via the Glover Road to Normauby, thence to Okaiawa, via the Scott and .South Roads, finishing at the Hawera Post Office. Though the weather was showery with a fair breeze blowing, 12 riders faced the starter and the limit man was sent away at 2 p.m. Several cars followed the race, which proved to be a good one, but A. G. Moore (3min) romped home with a good margin to spare. The sports were controlled by the following officials, members of the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club: Messrs. W. A. Spragg (president), A. Grant, L. I Marter, M. R. Jones, F. Foden, H. McCabe, C. Falkner and R. Allen. The result of the race was:-—A. G. Moore (3min), 50min 30scc), 1; M. F. Seaton (4Jmin), 52min lOsee, 2; W.
