BASKETBALL IN TARANAKI
COM PETITION COMMENCES. The Taranaki ladies’ basketball competition has been in progress a week, the results up to last Saturday being as follow - : S.T.H.S. A 4 V. N.P. Convent 3. S.T.H.S. A 15 v. N.P. Convent Old Girls 7. ■St. Mary’s 26 v. S.T.H.S. B 6. N.P. Convent B 13 v. S.T.H.S. B 3. N.P. Convent C 10 v. S.T.H.S. C 5. In addition, the A and B teams of the Hawera Technical High School visited New Plymouth and played A and B teams from the New Plymouth Girls’ High School, the visitors proving victorious in both matches.
