OPERA HOUSE, HAWERA
‘•HIGH SCHOOL HERO” TO-NIGHT. Not in many a day has a photoplay contained more real human interest and comedy than Fox Films’ “High School Hero,” which will be the main attraction at the Opera House to-night. This picture is a fast moving comedy-drama of the modern American youth. It shows this great American institution, the high school, as it is, full of clean life and fun. It revolves around the story of two boys who are rivals for the same girl and all of the intricacies involved in trying to win the girl. Sally Phipps gives a spirited performance as the flapper and Nick Stuart and John Darrow give interesting portrayals as the boy friends. David Rollins is very convincing as the bashful scholar. The cast includes Charles Paddock, Brandon Hurst, Wade Boteler, William N. Bailey and the well-known canine actor, Pal. A splendid programme will be shown in support, including a Fox News reel, Fox variety, “The Romantic Alhambra,” and comedy, “Slipping Wives.” The box plan is on view at the Opera House confectionery. Dial 2713 to reserve a seat; no extra charge.
