BOXING
FORTHCOMING TOURNAMENT. LOVERIDGE v. BROADFOOT. Arrangements are now practi-cally completed for the tournament which the Taranaki Boxing Association is holding on Saturday, February 25, when the star attraction will be a fifteen-round professional contest between Dick Loveridge, the popular Taranaki boy, and Jim Broadfoot, of Auckland. Five splendid amateur preliminaries have been arranged, viz., between N. Roebuck, the New Zealand and Taranaki flyweight champion, and Fraer, of Auckland, who is regarded as a more than likely aspirant for the title. Donovan, the New Zealand and Taranaki featherweight champion against Manson, the wellknown Auckland feather. Dombroski, of Waitara v. C. Smith, of New Plymouth; Carroll, an ex-Aucklander, v. R. Smith, of Cardiff; Seaman Mulvaney, now of Waitara, v. R. Cadman, of Awatuna. Earl Stewart will be the third man in the ring on each occasion.
