CHAMPIONSHIP RIBBONS

| AUCKLAND SHOW SUGGESTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, Oct. 18. “For colossal cheek and impertinence it takes the cake,” said Air. J. Al. Johnston at a meeting of the general cominittee of the Alanawatu A. and J?. Association, when referring to a suggestion of the Auckland association to issue championship show ribbons for al! classes.

After strong comment had been passed the following resolution was adopted: “That the Royal Society and the North Island A. and P. conference consider the remarks made by the president and other committee men of the Auckland A. and P. Association and point out that it is not within their power to attempt to create the Auckland Association as being the one permitted to issue New Zealand championships. This power can only rest with the Royal Society.”
