MOMTOR LORRY'S MAD CAREER
SIDE OF A HOUSE SMASHED. By Telegraph.—PrcM Association. Wellington, Oct. 18. A lorry loaded up to seven or eight tons ran down the steep hill side in Daniel Street, Newtown, crashed through a concrete wall and stove in the side of a house, wrecking a room and smashing much of the contents. A woman in the house next door was thrown down and articles hurled from the shelves, causing her to think it was an earthquake. Fortunately no one was in the first house. At the moment the lorry had th«P wheels chocked and the brake on, but appeared to start off on its own account.
