The United 'States Supreme Court has delivered an important decision upholding injunction issued *by the lower courts restraining union employees from resorting to certain sets in furtherance of strikes. Several eases were decided thereby, one group involving efforts by John Lewis, president of the United Mino Workers of America, to conduct a campaign to unionize the coal mines of West ginia. The Court declared legal certain injunctions which had been issued restraining the union from threatening employees of non-union mines, or interfering with the business of these mines. Other groups involved several union tramway workers, who were charged with having attempted io persuade tramway employees to strike and stay on strike. The unions attacked the constitution 1 ality of these injunctions on the ground that they interfere with efforts to secure further members for their organisations.
