IMPRISONMENT FOR THEFT
At the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui yesterday, H. Murdoch, D. O’Grady, E. Neilson and A. Elliott were sentenced by Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., for theft of skins from the Paten meat works. Murdoch received ten days, and the other accused five days’ imprisonment each. The 15-year-old youth, who was one of the party, will be employed farming for the next five years by the Child Welfare Department, writes our Pate» correspondent.
