We will now switch over to the Pitt Street Congrenational Church to broadcast the wedding of Mr. Ernest G. Skeates, Mayor of Birkenhead. Auckland, to Miss Dorothy Lascelle, the well-known Australian soprano/’ . W hen Mr. J. H. Wood coupled up hib 8-valve set at Birkenhead on Saturday and tuned in to 2FC, Sydney, he expected to hear Mr. Skeates speaking, but he was unaware of the purport of his remarks. Members of Mr. Skeates’ family were better informed. Mr. Skeates has been on a holiday and business trip to Sydney and he and Mrs. Skeates are expected back in Auckland by the Aorangi on her next trip.
