WESTFIELD MARKETS. PRICES REMAIN FIRM. Auckland. Last Night. There was a fair yarding of ox beef at Westfield. Values for extra choice improved slightly, other grades being firm at late quotations. Cow and heifer beef was penned in average numbers and values were firm. Extra choice ox sold to 27s per 1001 b.; choice and prime, 23s to 255; just killable, £1 to £1 2s; prime young cow and heifer beef, £1 to £1 4s; just killable, 17s to 19s. Sheep.—There was an average yarding with little or no change in values. Extra heavy prime wethers made £1 3s to £1 10s; heavy prime, £1 6s to £1 7s 6d; medium, £1 3s 6<l to £1 ss; light and unfinished, £1 Is to £1 '2s 6d; heavy prime ewes, £1 4s 6d; lighter, 19s to £1 2s; other ewes, 15s to 17s. Lambs. —Prices were unchanged. Heavy prime lamb made £1 4s 6d; medium, £1 2b 6d to £1 4s; light, £1 Is to £1 2s. Calves. —There was a good yarding which sold at last week’s quotations. Runners made £2 9s to £3 12s; heavy vealers, £3 to £4 Us; medium, £2 to £2 10s; liglft, £1 Ils to £1 17s; fresh dropped, 3s to 9s. Pigs.—There was a good yarding. Baconers were firm at late quotations, but porkers were easier, especially towards the end of the sale. Choppers made £3 to £3 15s; heavy baconers, £3 10s to £3 15s; medium baconers, £3 5s to £3 8s; light baconers, £3 to £3 4s; heavy porkers, £2 14s to £2 17s; medium porkers, £2 5s to £2 10s; light porkers, £1 10s to £2 3s.
