PROGRESS OF THE WEEK. Taranaki Oil Fields Ltd. reports for the week ended May 28: Waiapu No. 2 Well.—Drilled to 1430 feet in grey shale; lOin diameter casing to 1413 feet. Taranaki No. 3 Well.—Ninety feet of stove pipe casing run; hole clear to 100 100 feet. Gisborne No. 1 Well.—Erection work well advanced. Casing and balance of coal at port awaiting favourable weather to 1 permit transport to site.
